ISPCS 2016 Gala Dinner
The ISPCS 2016 Gala Dinner will be held on Thursday the 8th of September at the Vasa Museum. This event is sponsored by Meinberg. There will be guided tours beginning at 6:30 p.m. and the dinner will begin at 7:30 p.m.
About the Vasa Museum:
The Vasa ship capsized and sank in Stockholm 1628. After 333 years on the sea bed the mighty warship was salvaged and the voyage could continue. Today Vasa is the world's only preserved 17th century ship and the most visited museum in Scandinavia.
How to reach the Vasa Museum:
To travel from the ISPCS venue, take the green subway line from Skanstull towards Hässelby, jump off at the station Centralen then take bus number 69 towards Blockhusudden, jump off at the bus stop Djurg�rdsbron then take a short walk across the bridge towards the Vasa museum. This journey takes approximately 30 minutes.
Wednesday Evening reception
On Wednesday the 7th of September (H. 18.00) , the Stockholm City will host a reception at the Stockholm City Hall including a buffe' and short visit of the City Hall (Stadshuset), with no additional cost for the participants. A maximum number of 200 participants will be allowed to attend the reception: this will be handled on a first come, first-served basis. Therefore when registering please make sure to indicate your intention to attend the Wednesday evening reception. Also please note that due to logistic reasons, people registering after August 23, will not be able to attend the reception. How to reach the Stockholm City Hall: To travel from the ISPCS venue to the Stockholm City Hall, take the green subway line from Skanstull towards Hässelby, jump off at the station Slussen then take bus number 3 towards Karolinska sjukhuset, jump off at the bus stop Stadshuset. There are many alternatives to travel from Arlanda airport, what alternative to choose depends on if you prioritize price, time or convenience. For people staying at Clarion Stockholm (address Ringvägen 98, Stockholm), the following alternatives can be used.- Arlanda express (high speed train) from Arlanda to Stockholm Central (20 minutes), then take the subway (Green line towards Farsta/Hagsätra/Skarpnäck) and jump off at the station Skanstull, use the subway exit marked Ringvägen. Cost: SEK 280 + ordinary SL Travelcard
- Pendelt�g (commuter train) from Arlanda to Stockholm Central (45 minutes), then take the subway (Green line towards Farsta/Hagsätra/Skarpnäck) and jump off at the station Skanstull, use the subway exit marked Ringvägen. Cost: SEK 85 + ordinary SL Travelcard
- Flygbussarna (Airport Coaches) from Arlanda to Stockholm Central (40 minutes), then take the subway (Green line towards Farsta/Hagsätra/Skarpnäck) and jump off at the station Skanstull, use the subway exit marked Ringvägen. Cost: SEK 119 + ordinary SL Travelcard
